Acephala is a Warsaw-based brand founded in 2014 by the duo Monika Kędziora and Bartek Korzeniowski. It’s a conceptual brand with feminist mission and sustainable approach. Acephala is recognized for creating collections which subvert stereotypical notions of femininity.
We create tailored pieces with experimental proportions and witty detailing. Each piece is carefully constructed and produced using highest quality textiles selected for their distinctive textures and sensual touch. The signature of the brand include sculptural designs and texture mixing. Suits, shirts and shirt dresses as well as printed tops are our clients’ favorites. Since 2016 Acephala expanded regular clothing line with limited editions of accessories: socks, clutch bags, scarves, belts.
Sustainable approach to fashion design is integral to Acephala. We are strongly convinced that high-end fashion should be leading in the sustainable approach to clothes’ production and that the creative process should be intertwined with the responsibility towards our planet. Every season at Acephala brings new solutions towards sustainability. The core of our collections are made of organic cottons and wools and experimental recycled textiles. Our production is based in Poland - a country which has a very well developed and diverse production base with varied sawing and knitting houses and a broad range of highly qualified craftspeople and a good supply of garment accessories.
Collections by Acephala have been presented during fashion shows and showroom presentations in Poland and abroad. The brand has been featured in a number of fashion and lifestyle magazines including: Vogue Italia, Vogue Polska, Collezioni, L’Officiel Ukraine, Marie Claire UK, Elle UK, How to Spend it (Financial Times), Elle Poland, Glamour Poland, ID Poland, Design Scene.
